Anyone got Snow ?

Great pic of a serene, wint'ry clime, Jafo! Makes me long for Alaska!

Here in central Illinois we've had small snows of 2-5 inches since just before Thanksgiving...

We also got that goofy ice storm yesterday that plagued the whole heartland region. Greatly affected driving. Also par for the course- downed powerlines, ravaged trees/limbs/branches, etc. Plus the resulting slush as it warmed and melted clogged all the sewer & drain lines so the water pooled deeply on streets and roads. YUCH! Our hope now is that all the standing water has a chance to properly disappear before tomorrow night when the forecast calls for ONE degree! Otherwise it's gonna be skating-rink city!

yup, snow here

about 4 or 5 inches and 2 sick kids cooped up in the house:eek:

got a couple feet - no mercury in the thermometer - it went south where it's warmer - now its the calm before the storm - over another foot tonight

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Howdy rikkib...

...and WELCOME! What a pleasure to have new folks stop by! We're a fine bunch that always enjoys meeting new people and making new friends. I think you'll find we're a diverse bunch- with varied backgrounds and multiple interests. C'mon in, let us take your coat- help yourself to a cuppa hot chocolate and make yourself at home!

We have gotten at least another foot of snow since last night.. Boys are shoveling like crazy lol.

Mama, we must not be far apart lol. I am about 30 miles N of Utica..

All of you can keep your snow ! LOL...The weatherman says it may get down to 19 tonight and that's a big change from the 60's and 70's we have been having. I admit it would be nice to see a little bit of snow on Christmas day. The kids here so rarely see any.

It was 25* here last night but it's supposed to be in the 70's on Christmas Day. Whoo Hoo!!

Staring at the additional 6 inches of snow we received last night, I wonder too..

White Christmas!

We had a white Christmas here. It started snowing heavily around 9 AM and we ended with about an inch and a half of snow.

How beautiful! You must be near the mountains? I remember when we lived in Long Beach we drove to [I believe it was Oakland] this mountainous area to get our Christmas tree and it was snowy there, but not snowy in Long Beach:)

It has rained here for the past three days. I had tons of fun trying to load cooked food into the car on Christmas Eve in this mess. It is supposed to be close to 70 here tomorrow if you can belive it.

Yep- the weather's crazy here in Illinois, also! We had drifting snow and below zero temps last week. Christmas Eve was slick as I-don't-know-what! Friday morning the roads were so icy that the interstates were shut down. Tonight? 50 and foggy! Whacko weather! At least the snow/ice are gone, but...

LORD!

BLIZZARDS and BELOW ZERO last week and the local news just told us we are expected to break the all-time record today of 61 degrees! Yikes & Yowza!
