Brats

It is an easy day for me too. Let my husband cook. =). Nah really we will probably have spaghetti or something easy.

Were having a easy night too, hubby is picking up Chinese take out!

LOL, we must have all had a long week and are too tired to cook! We are probably having 4th of July leftovers, grilled chicken and mashed potatoes.

Although, that is more because I can't stand to waste food.

We are also having an easy dinner tonight. I stopped on my way home from work and picked up a cheese pizza. When I got home I cut some Canadian bacon and added them and some pineapple chunks to our cheese pizza to make it a Hawaiian pizza. Everyone enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the ease of making and cleaning up dinner tonight.

Very easy dinner last night for me.....Jack in the Box. I know it is so bad for me, but sometimes....a nice greasy burger that takes no effort to make is quite satisfactory.

I second that BagCSC. We eat out at Mcdonald's alot. We havent this week though but it does hit the spot. And it is no effort. Espically quick when I am so tired from chasing my kids all day lol

Ever notice how you get thirsty about 1 - 2 hours after eating at Mickey D's? That's all of the salt in the burgers and fries and ketchup.

I eat at McDonalds occasionally, but only very occasionally.

Hi Mama Mangia!
What type of brats to you use? I've had some nice chicken and turkey sausages that are lower in fat. Not all of which are lower in tastes by making up for the lean meat by mixing cheese into the sausage. But I'm game for a real authentic German brat too.

Sometimes I buy Johnsonville, but I do enjoy the chicken ones very much.

This time I made my own -

I used ground veal and pork; added salt, brown sugar, pepper, ginger, onion powder, nutmeg, coriander, mace and ice water. I just "eye-balled" everything - basically veal and pork in just about equal amounts, and a spinkle, pinch and dash of the seasonings. Combine well; cover; refrigerate over night and stuff the next day. These are authentic german fresh brats.

If I make chicken ones, salt, pepper, parsley, sage, savory, garlic and paprika and anything else I want to throw in.

When I don't have casings - I make patties.
