I got four nice big fat granny smith apples and put a stick into each one.
I melted a 14 oz bag of caramels in a pot over low heat with 2 tablespoons of water. When that was melted I took it off the heat and added 1/2 tsp vanilla. I dipped my apples into the caramel and put them onto a baking sheet covered with foil that had been sprayed with nonstick spray.
Once the caramel had set up I put a bag of milk chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and popped them into the microwwave. Once they were smooth and melted I dipped drizzled my four apples all over with the melted chocolate. Then I sprinkled them with peanuts I had chopped.
As you can see from the pic I have already eaten one
My little sister has a horrible cold so Im sending her a couple of these along with some chicken soup I made her today.
