I once worked at a restaurant where these were the craze. Delicious in moderation.
10 ounce package frozen sliced strawberries, thawed some
6 ounce can frozen daiquiri mix
3/4 cup light rum
3 cups ice cubes
Thaw the strawberries just enough to cut into cubes. Place the strawberries, daiquiri mix and rum in a blender. Cover and blend. Add ice cubes, a few at a time through top hole of blender lid while still blending. Blend until creamy and ice is melted. Pour into to refrigerator trays or 1/2 gallon plastic container. Cover and freeze several hours or overnight(don't worry the rum will keep this from freezing firm). To serve spoon into cocktail or sherbet glasses. Garnish each glass with a fresh strawberry. Makes 5 cups.
