Good morning folks. It was a wild night down here for sure. Major tornadoes touched down all around us. Prayers out for the people of Tuscalosa Al. They got hit real hard. The town is almost gone. Chattanooga got hit, Rome Georgia had a hotel collapse. Over 87 people died last night. The storms have just passed us. Won't know the damage around here until daylight.

I'm glad you and your family are okay - and I hope there isn't any damage worth worrying about. My heart goes out to those that went through that. It was a very scary night - there were funnel clouds and a touchdown - not too far from here. Weather like that usually doesn't hit us. But last night the TV stations were buzzing with it all.

Those storms went through north Louisiana and Arkansas on their way there so I feel for you guys.

Thankfully aside from a few trees down, there was no major damage last night. People in Alabama are devastated

watching the news in the ER yesterday (long story short - but I moved mom from where they put her) and I never got to see a TV or hear anything till almost 4 PM - up north of us they closed everything - roads were totaly impassible, kids that walked home from school had to be picked up by parents in order to get home, everything closed, power outages and tons of damage - it's just one big line from down south to right up here - but the south got the worst of it -

I'm glad you guys are ok. Thankfully we haven't had any where I live. Living in an upstairs apartment I would be in big trouble if a tornado came through.
I was talking to Cathy on FB and she had a tornado come through their neighborhood also. Thankfully their home was spared.

they moved mom to a semi acute rehab center to regain her strength so she could come home - that was last week Mon -
long story short - I had the cops and an ambulance there yesterday to take her to the hospital for proper treatment
we got her there just in time AGAIN -
I refused to sign her discharge papers - my attorney can do it
I'm sick over this whole thing
and if I wasn't there every day all day and night I would not have known
thank heaven her mind is sharp - it's her body that is weak
you wouldn't believe all they did and what I saw there

I'm really sorry to hear that. So many of those places are like that.

still not out of the woods - but she is improving each day - I am waiting for biopsy results to come back - hopefully today - emergency surgery when I got hrer there - thank you for asking

Mama - So very glad to hear that your mum is slowly improving. I lost my mum last year and it's hard, I can tell you. Especially if they happen to be far away, as she was. Will certainly keep you and your mum in my thoughts and prayers. Incidently, not to worry about the ridiculous spammers - they're annoying but certainly won't drive anyone away who truly appreciates both you and this forum. This, too, shall pass!! katie
