Gran's Peach Cobbler
One Stick Butter or Margarine
One and 3/4 Cups Sugar (divided)
One Cup Flour
3/4 Cups Sugar
1 ½ Teaspoon Baking Powder*
3/4 Cup Milk
Two Cups peaches (more, if desired)
Melt margarine (or butter) in a 9 X 13 pan. Mix one cup of the sugar, flour, baking powder and milk
together. Pour over melted butter. Do not stir. Cover with sliced peaches. Sprinkle remaining 3/4
cups sugar over peaches. Bake at 350 degrees until the crust rises to the top and is golden brown
(approximately 30 to 40 minutes).
Top with cool whip or ice cream (optional).
*If you use self-rising flour, eliminate the baking powder.
