Happy (Even Though Late) New Year Everyone

The Ironic Chef

New member
I missed saying Happy New Years to everyone. I had to take a trip down to North Carolina on business and didn't have internet access so missed starting the New Year with all the great individuals I have met here. It's been a long 2 weeks of 16 hours every day working and it's the first time in a long long time I haven't cooked a meal. It's really sad to say I actually miss my own cooking, lol.... I had a pot roast in the crock at 7 this morning and it's the first day back. Ahhhhh, the smell is driving me crazy.
Happy New Year everyone and I hope it started off excellent for everyone.

And Happy New Year to YOU, IChef!

Your roast sounds yummy, and your trip to NC sounds nice! I like wilderness locales- especially when the towns are also spiced with history, culture, arts and fine folks- and for some time now NC has been a place I've wanted to check out for possible future prospects. I hear wonderful things about that whole region! CCCathy and others here who are familiar w/ NC have offered much helpful and encouraging info on that area... Maybe one day soon... Anyway- welcome back, and wishing you a blessed 2009!

Welcome Home IC! We sure did miss your presence here, but I so understand about work, been very busy on my end here as well! Been watching Food Network this afternoon as I get some much needed R&R! Thanks for the New Years greeting and Happy New Year to you also:)

Better late than never! Pot roast sounds so good today! I've got mine in the crockpot as well. A comfort food day today - too much snow and shoveling to bother playing in the kitchen!
