Holiday Music

With the holidays approaching most of us enjoy the holiday tunes. I love music of all kinds, and during the holidays I listen to just about anything.

I enjoy Mannaheim Steamroller, all the classics sung by all the old singers and groups, and I really enjoy a Christmas Bells CD that I have - just simple bells - very delicate and enjoyable.

I also get a kick out of the Muppets singing the 12 Days of Christmas - ba dum dum dum.............(love Miss Piggy!)

got any favorites you like???

I have The Looney Tunes doing Christmas Carols and Pooh and Friends.
Jon loves the Bob and Tom Christmas parodies. He really loves Twisted Sister's Christmas cd that I got him last year. Lots of heavy metal guitar in Christmas carols lol.

I have tons of Christmas music from my Alaskan work-camp days... I started playing it in the galley 'round the clock, 24 hrs a day Thanksiving Day! LOVE holiday music! I play them all- Nat King Cole, Manhattan Transfer, Il Divo, Enya, Aaron Neville, Dolly Parton, Amy Grant, Anne Murray, Celine Dion, Three Tenors, Johnny Mathis, et. I love many songs- espcially the hymns w/ a holy slant like "What Child is This?" and "Silent Night" but my all time #1 fav has always been "Little Drummer Boy".

I love Christmas music too and my all time favorite is O'Holy Night.... Then there are the fun ones like ..Rocking around the Christmas tree...I saw Mama Kissing Santa Clause.

I have the nutcracker which always makes good background music at christmas time. I also love Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby's Christmas CDs. I have another CD called Christmas cocktail that I love and then my all time favorite Santa Baby. That one always makes me laugh.

Hey Francie,

Speaking of music- you crossed my mind tonight! I heard several tunes on the radio that reminded me of your neck o' the woods! Tanya Tucker's "Delta Dawn", Bobbi Gentry's "Ode to Billie Joe" and Bob Dylan's "Mississippi". All great tunes!

How exciting, Mapiva! Way cool!

Clay's been in the news a lot lately... I like him- what a great voice! And of course I always support those who make the generous careful decision to become a parent... and then his decision to be honest and share his true self with the world is something I of course admire, too. Go Clay!

Any fun stories, Mapiva? (BTW, Dianne from EPI is here now and she's been asking 'bout'cha! Not sure if the two of you have connected yet, ot not, but she's excited to touch base w/ ya!) smiles & winks- k.
