How much do you enjoy cooking?

I was just wondering how much everyone really enjoys cooking? It it like a hobby for you? Do you really enjoy trying out new recipes from time to time? Do you only enjoy is occasionally? Or are you glad when it's done? ;) For me, I don't particularly enjoy cooking, I just want to get dinner time over with. Although, I do get an itch to try a new recipe once in a while, and then if it turns out well; I enjoy it.

Me too, Mama Mangia! (Although I'm no good at baking) I love creating new recipes and getting recipes from my friends and putting a new spin to them. I even like it when my experiments turn out to be an outright disaster :^___^: There are times when I'd just be compelled to cook '~__^

I enjoy baking. I am not really into cooking. However, when I am in the mood I will cook and when I do I like to try new things. Since I work late it is just easier for the husband to cook on the week days. I usually cook on the weekends unless I can bribe the husband to take us out.

I really wish I was one of those people who loves to cook. I'm sure my husband does too, lol. I have been getting an itch to bake though; what with the weather getting cold. I'm planning on making some brownies today.

Eating is such a basic part of life and making good food is so important for living well. I can't imagine going through life on snack foods when there are so many delicious tastes and for most of us, the only way we'll ever enjoy as many of them as possible is by making them ourselves. I've been in a Greek mood lately and have made a couple of recipes using lamb and Greek seasoning on our Cooking Blog. Check out the Greek Seasoned Lamb Sausages Recipe and the prior one for Greek Meatballs. With enough skill, I think I can come up with an authentic Greek Gyro recipe using the McCormick Greek Seasoning [which I only came across about a month 1/2 ago and have fallen in love with :)]

I love to cook! For years it has been a passionate hobby of mine and one of the few activities that brings me true relaxation. Whenever I am stressed, I go into the kitchen, and pretty soon I am feeling better.

While I'm not usually real adventurous in the kitchen, I do love to cook and bake. I find it so relaxing and enjoyable. Guess maybe I'm a little silly, but a great meal is like a gift to my family. It just brings a smile to my face to watch my two boys enjoy a meal from the heart.

I love to cook, when I have time to really experiment with a new recipe. I don't like to cook when I get home late and still need to make supper. I try to put something in the crock pot for those days, or lay something out for supper that won't take much time to make.

I can't imagine going through life on snack foods when there are so many delicious tastes and for most of us,

Me neither. There are days when I'd rather not eat if all I'd have to eat's unhealthful food that's low in flavor anyway...and I'm too lazy to cook.
:D

Well, it's not exactly the cooking process I like. LOL But I usually love the results. So I guess I can say I like cooking. I'm more into baking. But, again, I prefer the results. LOL

I like to cook, usually. Hubby says I should make it my hobby since I'm pretty good at it. I don't 'experiment' with foods that often, but when I do they usually come out pretty good. I'd rather take a recipe, and tweak it for my family's tastes. Sometimes the end recipe is completely different than what I started with, but that doesn't happen very often.

Oh, my! Phoenixstarr, I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't "experiment" with foods. That's how I cook all the time. It's actually very rare that I follow a recipe. I usually don't change the recipe if I use one though.

My last experiment was my Breakfast Pizza recipe that I posted here yesterday. The reason I don't normally experiment is because growing up I had several bad dinners from Dad 'experimenting' with dinner. I mean, how hard is Hamburger Helper?? But he had to add things to improve the taste, but usually it became inedible for me. He liked it though, and that was what mattered to him...

Unfortunately my back gives me problems and it is hard to stand there and cook.

I enjoy baking more than cooking, though. lol

I love to cook, though I am not that good. I usually invent my own. I love trying out unusual and new recipes. I started cooking very basic and easy recipes. And hopefully, in the near future, I would be able to cook well.

I love to cook. I experiment a lot. One time, I spoiled one kilo of meat. Haha.

Maybe I like cooking because I'm not the one assigned to cook at home. My father is a better cook, so he does all the work.

I love to cook new things and try new thing in the kitchen but I really enjoy baking pies and cakes mostly.

I like cooking, but my husband usually does it the majority of the time and is a lot better at it than me. Now that he got a new job and has to go away I will be doing it all. You better believe I am going to be trying out some new recipes from this site to try and wow him with when he does come home.

Practice, practice, practice!
