I have spots...

I had some flounder and did not know I was allergic. I have been sick as a dog today. I have some lovely red spots on my skin to remember the occasion I can eat any sort of fish with a shell but anything else makes me very sick.
Luckily I had some Phenergan but that wasnt gonna do me any good til I got the fish out of my system.

Wow, janie... I am SO sorry. I hope you feel back to normal soon!

I know that yuchy dilemma... I am allergic to strawberies... and have also had allergic reactions in the past to fresh sea scallops, and halibut... It's definitely NO FUN!

Poor thing - I feel for ya! Feed me Chinese food from a chinese restaurant and I'm red and itchy from head to toe - big giant raised bumps that look like welts that really hurt - makes me look like a monster! and they last for 2 weeks! I can only eat homemade chinese food.

So glad you're OK Janie, I'll bet that scarred you, it sure is strange how these food allergies work *** Wham***!!!! and the next thing you know you're having a reaction. I am sorry you can't eat flounder because I know how good it is!

My little one is allergic to..get this....apples, grapes, chicken, tomatoes, and so many foods you would never think of as being allergy foods but it was in the skin testing where they found all the foods she was allergic to so I presume it is accurate! She's not allergic to milk, wheat, eggs, citrus, nuts and some of the other foods typically associated with allergies!

Sorry to hear that Janie and hope you get releif soon. I know all about those Allergies... .I'm so allergic to shellfish so I stay away from fish of any kind now.

So glad you are better, NO MORE WHITE MEATED FISH though, and I know that is a hard one, but you can never chance being sick like that again!

Trust me ..I want nothing else to do with white fish.
