My Dad went to a place w/ church-friends last night and he remarked that they had ribs marinated in watermelon schnapps that were delicious. I thought this sounded fun and inventive, but googled and found nuthin'. Hmmm... ???

What inventive rib preparations do you know of?

No rib tips but I did try that soda pop bbq sauce I mentioned before.
The Dr. Pepper was pretty good.

I have a watermelon BBQ sauce????????

1 - 6 Pound Seedless Watermelon chunk
8 Ounces Tomato Paste
1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
2 Cups Firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 Cup Sherry
2 Teaspoons Lemon juice
1 Teaspoon Liquid smoke

Cut the melon into pieces and place in a saucepan. Cook it uncovered over medium heat until the melon is the consistency of applesauce (approximately 2-3 hours). Stir it occasionally. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer uncovered over low heat for 2 hours. Allow to cool to room temperature before using.

and I have a raspberry one -

12 oz. red raspberries
1 oz. of a good old bourbon or Jack Daniels type
1 C. catsup
1/2 C. brown sugar
1 shake of Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. liquid smoke (optional)
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of black pepper

Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into sauce pan. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes or brush on as a glaze to any meat, as pork, beef, chicken ,ham or salmon. Add garlic or cilantro for added zest.
