Yeppers!
I love my veggies - and I love to make them a bit different than others.
Here is one of my favorites:
While waiting for a pot of water to come to a boil - I clean my broccoli and cut into florets of equal size; drain well.
Once the water boils - add salt and wait for the water to come to a boil again. Add broccoli; and reduce heat - do not cover. Cook until crisp-tender (it will cook more so don't worry at this point). When ready - drain well - leaving in colander to drain completely - you don't want to splatter your oil.
Drizzle a large, hot saute pan with olive oil; add garlic and saute - do not brown.
Transfer broccoli to saute pan - single layer - and brown on one side; turn and brown on the other side. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
You want your broccoli to be a nice golden color.
Makes a great side for just about anything!
