Many of You Are Mothers...

With your special day just a week away- are you planning to cook for your family or your own Mom? Or are you leaving the planning to your hubby and children?

Next weekend my family is celebrating twice- once Saturday to include my Dad's wife- our step-mother... and again Sunday w/ Mom. Both times we will have a cookout at my sister's place, though the menu at this point, is not yet planned. We tend to keep our eating pretty casual and not too fancy at all, for family gatherings, 'cause all the kids are pretty finicky. I wouldn't be surprised if we just enjoyed burgers & dogs... Dad's wife has requested a carrot cake- and my Mom prefers fruit pies, while sis likes ice-cream w/ toppings, so I'll be doing a variety of baking.

I will send my Mom a floral bouquet in a mug from 1-800-FLOWERS they are a pretty reliable and affordable way to go! That way she has the mug forever! We will mail cards to everyone else. Eddie's Mom will get a mug of flowers too!
