Members Of SP And Blogging

I guess that most people that use the internet may also have blog sites that they use also. I use to use Yahoo 360 until they decided they wanted to shut it down. I spent years there and built a pretty good group of friends through the years. When 360 let out the news that they were going to close the doors on everyone a new site was looked for and most of us settled on Multiply and have been there for a few years now.
It would be nice to share blogging with friends here too. I have only seen a few blog sites from members here and was wondering, how as members, we could share blog sites with one another? Member profiles only allow for Messenger identifications.

IC- call me a dummy, but what exactly is the definition of blogging? How does it differ from say, what we do here? I might be interested- but only knowing what I do- at this point I'm at least a l'il curious...

I've thought about blogging but it seems like there are already a million people out there blogging and I don't know that I have anything new to say. You might wonder how many people there could be out there blogging about cooking healthy, gluten free and a multitude of ethnic foods while also posting original artwork that they have created which is the type of blog I would like to do but the answer to that is there are already a thousand people out there doing just that already.

It's funny... At this site where we're all relatively warm, close and friendly we all have posted 100's, if not 1000's of times. In just one year- I've posted over 2000 times- as most seem to have done- or be on the road to doing. But at another foodie site, where I've placed about nearly 3000 posts in almost 3 years I recently had a grump-azz member call me OCD and claim I suffered from a mental issue and from dependency becuase I post so much! I couldn't beleive this dude- he was really pretty rude and ugly about it. I'd have left there forever if I'd have thought it wouldn't tickle him in dark hidden places! The baztardo! Hee-Hee! :) This dude had placed about 100 posts in 5 years and pretty much thought anyone posting more frequently was making the site "their own personal blog"- HIS words!

Kevin, blogging is more personal with everyday lives. There are the more popular sites such as MySpace, FaceBook, and Multiply. Yahoo shut down 360 but has started another social network of some kind.
Here at Spice Place I keep my comments the best I can towards the topic of cooking. With blogging all interest can go into a blog. I wouldn't go on a vacation trip and post the pictures here but I would on my blog. Of course if an interesting food related topic were to present itself it would end up here on SP.
A good thing about having friend networks, if someone ticks you off, there is a button to erase them.
On My blog I can blog, share recipes, links, videos, music and picture albums and so much more.

Hello Kevin,

Back home again!!! New York was great and soooo glad to be home safe & sound "There's No Place Like Home!" New York is a really dirty place, and I am such a neat and clean freak I just had to grin & bear it every time we went out:eek: I also find the traffic and city driving deplorable. Other than that everything else was so NEAT!!!!!! I LOVE MY IN-LAWS and we brought my husbands youngest daughter home to live with us HOORAY!!!!!! Eddie and I are ecstatic!!!!

First I want to say I would not blog as it opens the ISSUE OF PRIVACY!!!! I truly hate that someone would be such an azz-hole and treat another so rudely on-line such as you described here Kevin. You in no way > shape > or form deserve such terrible treatment!!! I personally love what we have here on SP and this is almost exclusively my "on-line cup-of-tea!!!:) Kevin I just want to say I love having you here and it would just not be the same with-out ya'! You are my friend and I love you! I think punks like that who abuse others on-line verbally are sick son of a bit&^%$. So that is why I limit myself on-line!

Ah Cath... thanks dear! I too love it here- VERY much. Ain't WE just the BEST, everybody? Let's give ourselves a round of applause- we deserve it!

I agree with Cathy...privacy is a issue. I have pages on myspace and facebook but only to connect and keep in touch with family and friends that live out of state.I don't blog about anything.

I agree with blogging as something personal - for special friends and family - I don't like joining a site and then all these strange people want to follow me - happened on twitter - so I block everyone who wants to follow me.
