Ingredients :
* 2 kilos masa (= 4.4 lbs prepared masa)
How To Make :
1. Begin to boil 3 gallons of water in a large pot.
2. In a bowl, mix masa thoroughly with 1 gallon of water, using the
following procedure. Add water little by little to the masa, getting
your hands right into it and "smooshing" the masa through your fingers.
3. When this is completely blended to a uniform consistency, add 1 cup
of the water from the simmering pot, and mix.
4. Carefully add the masa and water blend to the simmering water in
the pot, stirring constantly. Stir, simmering, for about 15 - 20
minutes, or until the atole is thickened, but still soupy.
5. Add flavoring. You can add a little sweetener if you like.
6. Drink cooled, or slightly warm.
