Been out a year or more now but I'm just now giving it a listen.

Anybody who likes country music will absolutely LOVE the Loretta Lynn tribute cd of many of her classic hits. Re-made by artisits like: Lee Ann Womack, Gretchen Wilson, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Jack White and the White Stripes, Paramore, Martina McBride, Lucinda Williams, Kid Rock, Alan Jackson, and Reba.

My all-time FAV Loretta anthem is "Love is the Foundation" and on this CD it's done perfectly by Faith Hill.

Great CD to roll-out pie dough to! :)

and here I thought "Slow Hand" was a good song to cook to - hmmmmmmmmm
LOL

mama- have you ever seen the whacko sit-com called "Raising Hope"? It's about a ridiculous red-neck family who has their elderly grandmother (played by the wonderful Cloris Leachman) living w/ them and she suffers from frequent bouts of senility. On a recent episode she was dressed in a yellow cape wearing a purple wig, fluttering around the house w/ a shotgun belting-out the lovely and melodious words to "Slow Hand". It was a heckuva HOOT! :):):)

Why do I need to get out more? Just because the sounds of a banjo makes me sick to my stomach?
Try growing up in redneck USA where everyone thinks they can sing country music. At our family reunions my uncles and cousins used to hook amps up to their guitars, banjos and mics and sing their little hearts out ... badly.
