To Yoyo for recently giving a forever home to an animal in need.
I think that is such a wonderful gift.

I hope Yoyo doesnt mind my sharing this with the rest of the family here but it warms my heart so much when I hear of someone opening their heart and home to a precious animal. Especially one that has been abused. This poor kitty had been shaved by her previous owner of every hair on her body including her whiskers because the dummy thought it would help his allergies.

Kudos to Yoyo and I would love to see pics of your new kitty if you have a camera :)

Thanks to Yoyo and all kind hearted people in the world who adopt their pets. Pound puppies and kitties make some of the very best pets that is for sure!!!

My dog Zeke is a full-blooded mini-pin and he was caught running wild in the streets of a ghetto in Bay Minette, Alabama took the dog catchers 2 months to catch the little dude!:D He was in love with me the minute I laid my hands on him and would NOT let me put him down! I was an adoption volunteer and I had to take my Humane Society Volunteer Jacket off >pay the adoption fee for him, and leave I could not even stay at the event because he refused to let me place him back into his case. He is one of the best pets a person could ask for! And loves almost everyone once he gets to know them, but it has to be on his terms!;)

Today my Avatar is a shot of exactly what my Zeke looks like!!! He is so "Regal" and has that look of "Royalty"!

Thank you for the kudos. I had been looking toward buying a pure breed American Shorthair and was even going to travel across Kentucky to get one. But I didn't want to be the person to have a new cat declawed. I hate that procedure and believe it is downright cruelty and abuse. So I decided to look online to see if there was a cat in need of rescue that had already been declawed. I found her on the Owensboro Humane Society web page and her story just killed me. The previous owner had not only done as stated above but had her declawed completely. I'd never known of declawing the back feet as well as the front.

She (her name was Allie and as she knows that, I just kept it) is acclimating very well to my apartment. The shelter had about 10 cats all running around free and now she isn't in competition for food and space and litter box, etc. She definitely knows the purpose of refrigerator and stove as she becomes a little begger whenever I go near either. She is already running and batting her mouse around and even wakes me up running thru the house when I'm asleep.

If I had a camera and knew how to use my scanner or however you get pictures from point A to point B, I'd be glad to upload a pic. Perhaps that's a good subject for another Chatter.

I've gotta go finish reading my mail and will bbl.

Thanks for bringing yoyo's story to light, janie! My kitties too are shelter treasures. My life wouldn't be the same without them!

"Aint' it da truth, aint' it da truth!" Our pets are just such a part of our lives! Kevin I love the Avatar you have of Frick & Frack looking out the window....so cute!!!:)

We get so many stories where I live about animal abuse. It makes my day to hear positive stories about our pets.
