Yes I am still cooking Dilbert. How are you? I have just been busy trying to help my husband fix a friend's laptop. It is supposed to be up to 40 degrees tomorrow and rain. I hope it washes away the remaining dirty snow laying around.

heehee, I cook everyday, whether I want to or not [g]

I found domestic shrimp in the market a while back - frozen, big ones, 10/15 count, Fisherman's Gold. first domestic shrimp I've seen in the market for eons.

did a shrimp boil - onions, peppercorns, diced green pepper, celery, salt, Old Bay, bay leaf, pepper flakes....

side of white rice with a bibb/red leaf lettuce green salad - real bacon crumbles, celery, scallions, cukes, raddish, sliced hard boiled egg. I'm fond of making a whole meal out of a salad; variations on the Cobb are probably my fav.

I've heard "the bigger they are the less tasty" and that sure applies to this shrimp batch. I'll happily buy more domestic shrimp vs. made in China should I find them, but think I' stick with the smaller sizes.

I have heard that also, but maybe with the store bought that may be so. I have never found that to be the case at all with the Shrimp I used to purchase from the boats. There were these georgeous shrimp called Royal Reds (they are a large shripm)and oh my gosh were they some tasty puppies! I can honestly say there are no better shrimp, well except maybe for Rock Shrimp which are also truly delicious. The shrimp I am accustomed to eating were Gulf Shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico.
