I love making smoothies, so I thought we could start a thread with our smoothie recipes/ingredients. Here are my top favorites (all personal recipes created by me ):
Basic Recipe: Combine bag frozen fruit, scoop protein powder, 1-2 Tbsp each of wheat germ and flaxseed oil, and 6-8 oz. yogurt. Then fill with milk (or soy/rice milk as an alternate) until fruit is almost covered. Blend until smooth and enjoy! Really fills you up and a great way to get lots of nutrients. Makes 3-4 glasses.
Favorite Frozen Fruits to add:
blueberries
organic strawberries
pineapple
tropical fruit mix
peaches
Favorite Fresh Fruits:
bananas
Other ingredients:
protein powder
wheat germ
flaxseed oil
yogurt
applesauce
little bit of juice
cow's milk/rice milk/soy milk
