I was at my sis's house.
10 yr. old nephew was in the basement playing video games with his bud. They got into one of those whacky bickering moments that 10 yr. olds have. It seems one of their l'il "heros" in a video game made mention of an eggroll he was eating. This led to a duscussion of Chinese food.
Layne came running up the stairs and grabbed me and shouts- "Kevin- tell Noah that there is too peanut-butter in eggrolls and that I have eaten them many times! And that also there is a chicken dish that has cashews in it!"
Well, I didn't want to take sides in the argument of a pair of rambunctious, quarelling 10 year olds- so in a effort to present a food lesson- I did something else...
I sent them back downstairs and then proceeded to order Chinese Delivery!
Sis then called Noah's Mom and asked if he could stay for supper.
Layne smiled big as sweet 'n sour sauce dribbled down his chin. And Noah smiled slyly as he sneaked his fork to Layne's plate to dump some of the "nasty" broccoli from the beef dish... We ran out of cashew chicken, too! It was a yummy lesson for all!
