I will be using my favorite taco recipe that I got from Mama to use on the low sodium Tostada Bowls I have found at my local grocery.
Straight from Mama - Taco Seasoning
1 Tbs chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (I've lowered that to 1/8 tsp)
1/4 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp No Salt seasong or 1/2 tsp salt substitute (You guys just use salt)
Mix and store in an airtight container. Use with 1 Lb browned ground beef and enough water to get to the desired consistancy. Originally called for 1/2 cup but I use a little less. This is used in the Tostada bowls with shredded lettuce, onion and bell peppers, topped with a little sour cream.
