Terrible Meal

Jon and I went out late Saturday evening to go to Big Lots. BL is a couple of counties over from us. I wanted to pick up a anchor hocking set of glass storage containers with lids that they had on sale. After we finished shopping we were both getting hungry and since Wendys was in the same lot we decided to try their new boneless wings. Their boneless wings are actually their .99 chicken nuggets with the sauce of your choice. Jon and I both got the spicy chipotle. The nuggets were not even covered totally with the sauce and the nuggets were dry like they had been cooked for hours. That with the cold fries and the rain pouring down outside made for one bad meal
The wings may look good on the commercials but they look and taste terrible when you order them.

A few days ago we tried a Mexican restaurant here in town and the food was wonderful. I guess it was my turn for a bad one lol.

You're not the only one that got s.u.c.k.e.r.e.d into those. I did too -they were just plain awful. They shouldn't be allowed to market them the way they do - it is very misleading.

I'm so sorry you guys had them! They were terrible. That was the first time I had ever had Wendys nuggets and they are bad. Won't be doing those things ever again. They look nothing like the ones they advertise on tv or the pics on the inside of the restaurant. I should have saved my money and went to Subway down the street.

It was my first and last time as well - as far as I'm concerned - it's false advertising - totally misleading.

Spaeking of things we felt lured into trying: has anyone tried one of those new KFC "Double-Down" sandwiches where there is no bun- just a pair of breaded/fried or grilled boneless breasts sandwiching bacon, swiss cheese and some sort of special sauce?

I see in the paper and on CNN that some folks LOVE them- while others HATE them.

And while they don't appear to have any more calories than a big-mac, I guess the salt content is just sky-high! They seem whacky- but due to the media craziness I feel compelled to try on of each type! I'll let you know my results!

Kev that sounds like one Jon would love. I'll have to go by KFC and get him one. I need to loose some winter blubber so I think Ill pass lol.

If I didn't think the salt content would kill me dead I would gladly try one of those double down things. Looks good to me.

I think there is a lot of cheese on that thing and so far in my part of the country there is no low-sodium cheese around.

I stopped at KFC for some coleslaw today to go with hotdogs for supper. I saw the sign for those sandwiches Kev mentioned.

Had a wonderful meal today at our fav Chinese restaurant. Fresh delicious food and a fantastic waiter. I slipped the waiter a tip when he filled up our drinks then when he brought us our check he had marked out our original $24 total and taken us down to $15.30. How nice was that! Seldom do you run across someone so nice.

When I went to our local greenhouse the lady who rang up my order gave me five herb plants for the price of four. There is something to be said for living in a small town where everyone knows you.

When I checked out at Walmart I think the old bat who checked me out face would have cracked if she had smiled. She was just a rude old grump lol.
