The dumbest thing I have ever seen

and trust me living here I have seen plenty.
Jon and I were leaving the china restaurant here in town today and I see this old 80's model s10 pickup sitting right by the door. My eyes are right away drawn to the nasty spray painted tag on the front of it and then right down to the fabricated testicles they had hanging from the underneath of the nasty tag. Some dummy had seriously went to the trouble of using some sort of balloons to make it look like to saggy testicles were dangling from the front of the truck  On the roof of the cab of this 20+ year old beat up truck was a cobra hood ornament bolted down.

Who on this Earth would think that was a cool thing to do their vehicle? I have seen the rednecks do some seriously stupid things to their ride but that one took the cake. It was so nasty.

a redneck who took too many steroids - and I will not finish what I was going to say - it's wouldn't be nice.........................

OOOOPS- now I'm embarrassed... I hate to admit this- but was the truck green, Janie? If so- it might be the one I unloaded just last Summer- HA! (just kidding! Hee-Hee!) :):):)

In this day and time I am not shocked by much. Things have gotten so weird. People haven't any self respect. No one seems to care what other people think of them. My comment when I see things like studs all over ones face and lord knows where else. I say, I really bet your daddy is proud of you. Sad part is, his daddy probably is proud. CF:)

what's self-respect?
that's long gone these days -
it seems that the younger generations are just too greedy, self-centered, unrespectful - and a host of other things
bring back the "capital punishment" we had in school - where if you did something wrong the parents were held accountable and they did something about it - today they call a lawyer because their constitutional rights have been violated -
it's a bunch of crap
and bring back the paddle - a good swat keeps them in order - it's not child abuse - it's teaching your children right and wrong
today if you give your child a swat on the bottom (I'm not tlaking about beating the child) and someone sees it - CPS is alled and you lose your kids - then they end up in with a foster family that either molests them or lets them run the streets -
just can't win ----

and bring back the ettiquette classes to teach them manners

One of Jon's friends has piercings all over and so does his wife. He offered to show me one he has below the belt and I told him there are things that I never want to see and that is on the list. They are covered it tattoos. I would hate to see either of them try and get through a metal detector.

Its like you guys said no one has any manners these days. There is no decorum any where. People do not care as long as they get what they want.

There was one guy inside the china restaurant Im sure that truck belonged to. He was Mexican and about mid 20's. He was covered in grease and looked like he had just crawled out from under a car. His clothes had some sort of car fluid on them that stank so bad I have a terrible allergy headache still today from it. I couldnt believe anyone would go out to eat that dirty.

I've had my fair share of dirty men (construction workers, etc.) come into the deli at lunch or after work to get something for dinner - I can accept that - but to dine out in filth - no way.

Today - people are sick - just plain sick -

I am so sick of tatoos, piercings, pants below the hair line on the girls and the cracks showing on everyone, skin tight tops and pants and purple, pink and blue hair and nails -
can you imagine what they will look like in25 years?

I told Jon as soon as I saw that truck if Mama were here she would march right over and cut those things off of his truck and if anyone dared say anything to her they would be very sorry.

I miss the days of restraint and politeness too... It all makes ya wonder what Aunt Bea, Andy, Barney and Floyd the barber would have to say about it all... I miss and sometimes long for "Mayberry". :)

I hate to go to the grocery store. There is always some big woman with her elbows propped on her shopping cart and a cellphone glued to her ear right in the middle of the isle just chatting away hardly moving at all. If you say excuse me to get around them you get attitude from them. People will practically walk into you in the stores cause they are focused on texting. I stopped for road construction the other day and the guy with the stop/go sign was texting away on his phone while we sat there.
People blocking isles while they chat up someone they ran into is rude. Pull over to the side for crying out loud. Last but not least I HATE when people sit in their cars blocking traffic while waiting for someone who is loading their groceries to move their car. That is beyond rude. No consideration for others at all.

I have a cellphone I carry in case my old car breaks down. It stays in my purse turned off unless there is an emergency. I do not text and if I want to call you to chat I will do it from home.

I have a cell phone - for emergencies only - and I don't text - have no interest in it - and if I get a text message - I delete it without reading it.
Don't forget the ones that are in line on the phone - they are yakking away, one hand on the phone and one flapping in the air because they talk with their hands, the cashier is waiting for them to unload their carts, they pay no attention to the cashier, then they take their time putting their parcels in their carts and they forget to step away so the next person can be waited on.
And when their credit card or food stamp card doesn't work - or they don't know how to use it - the cashier can't talk to them because they are so engrossed in their conversation.
They talk while driving and parking, they talk all the way into the store, the whole time shopping, while checking out, loading the car, backing out (which they pay no attention to) and all the way home.
Unless they stop at the gas station and they are smoking a cigarette, yakking on the phone and pumping gas while their motor is running.
Yep - I'll park next to them for gas - NOT!
and the whole time the are the only ones in the world...........no one else exists

Excessive cell phone users and texters irk me too.

I have a co-worker who receives a dozen calls a night from friends and family members. And she's one of these types who multiplies the level of her natural voice volume 2-3X when she's talking on her cell- so there's no way to avoid hearing what should be a private conversation. After over 4 years of this I finally told her I found it excessively-rude and asked her to stop. Now she receives texts instead so now I deal w/ the weird constant Rap/Hip-Hop ring-tones, AND the loud vibration alerts and then the incessant typing by her thunderous thick fingers on the tiny keypad. If this happened once or twice a night it would be acceptable. But it's a dozen or more times. Not only does she have zero concept of how this is rude and annoys others- but I haven't even begun to try to explain to her dumb azz that when she does this stuff it removes her from the work pool in the department and in effect makes her dead weight that's doing nothing- and renders WORTHLESS in the work-place. Talk about rude and CLUELESS! :(

what about guests? if you come to visit me - don't spend your tiem texting or on your cell - if you are waiting for an emergency call - give them my number to reach you - leave the cell at home

ditto when eating in a restaurant - I've seen couples out - one on the phone and eating while the other one just sits there eating alone - ignorant

OMG - Mama's going to castrate a pickup truck. Can't wait to see this on the 6 o'clock news tomorrow.

My little "huntin truck" is not much better. A '92 Ford Ranger that was bought pretty beat-up to start with but it's not my main ride nor or there any body parts hanging off of it. All the neighbers borrow it when they need to haul off something since it will start without the ignition key.

The whole time my sis was here for Halloween she was texting. She would no sooner lay it down til it would vibrate again. The last hour she was here it stayed in her hands and I had not seen her since Feb 6. The last hour every time I would go to say something to her she was texting on her phone.

My old car is a 97 model. I have nothing against an old ride but that one was vulgar.
