Based loosely on a Banana Fritter recipe, here's my new recipe for a banana flavored cookie called simply "Twitter Cookies"
1/4 lb butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp banana flavoring
1 tbsp. cream
1 1/4 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream the butter, then gradually add the sugar, beating until light. Add the egg and flavoring extracts, and the tbsp. of cream and beat thoroughly. Mix in the flour, salt, and baking podwer together, add to the 1st mixture, and blend well. Drop 1 tsp of the dough on cookie sheets 1 inch apart. Bake 8 - 10 min's or until lightly browned. Remove and cool, sprinkle cooled cookies with powdered sugar!
Bon Appetite!!!!
Any and all additions to this basic recipe would be terrific, such as chocolate chips, or nuts of any variety (especially red-skinned spanish nuts) use your imagination!!! And drop your ideas right here as a post Remember this is a Twitter not a fritter so no need to fry
