In slightly more than a week we're off for our annual fishing trip to the Outer Banks. Yay!!!!

This time of year likely catch would include crabs, of course, plus bluefish, sea trout, croakers, and triggerfish.

I'm curious what everybody's favorite way of preparing each of those might be.

My favorite way to prepare crab is to make the flesh into crabcakes loaded with the white lumpmeat, lightly breaded and fried to a golden crisp served with a nice ramoulade sauce and a few alfalfa sprouts for garnish YUMMY!!!

The way I best like croaker is to place the entire fish (gutted but not scaled or beheaded) onto thick aluminum foil add salt & pepper to season and wrap it very air-tight in the foil and place onto grill and bake it there til done, simply unwrap, remove meat from the skin and enjoy! This was how an Alabama friend of mine taught me to make it, very easy and simply delicious!

I am sorry but I have never had the other type fish. But this past week I found some beautiful sea bass filets in FL, brought them home and I simply seasoned them and dredged them in flour and pan-fried them in half canola oil / half butter until golden brown and done! My ultimate favorite way to eat any good tasting fish!!! Simple yet extremely delicious!!!

I hopy you all will have a fabulous trip and catch lots & lots of fish! Wish I were going along; fishing is so much fun:) Eating it is better:p You will have to return with all of your fishing tales for us, and I for one want all the details!!!

I love your stories, Cathy
