40 Watt Compact Fluorescent Lamp 6 Pack

This is a package of 6 10 watt compact fluorescent lamps that are designed to replace 40 watt standard lamps.  They use 1/4 of the energy of standard bulbs and last about 5 years in standard residential use. These CFL lights have electronic flicker free ballasts and start reliably to 5° F (-15° C). CFL lamps require a brief startup period before reaching full light output. These lamps are perfect for hard to reach areas where lights stay on for long periods.

This package of 6 CFL lamps will save $144.00 in energy over their lifetime (or $24 per bulb) at $0.10/kwh electric rates.  Your savings could be more or less depending on your actual electricity cost.  By reducing your energy use you will also reduce the associated air pollution (including green house gas emissions) and energy needs required to produce the electricity.

If you change six 40 watt incandescent lamps to 10 watt compact fluorescent lamps, over the lifetime of the bulbs you will save:

• The energy a modern efficient refrigerator for over 7 months.
• Enough energy to run 4 personal computers for over a year
• An amount of energy equivalent to burning over 700 pounds of coal.

1 CFL lasts as long as 8 incandescent bulbs and have a small compact size that fit most lamps.

The packaging of these bulbs is environmentally friendly and ismade with 35% post consumer fiber and is RPET 1 Recyclable. 

Do not use these bulbs where directly exposed to water. Do not use these lights in an application that uses the light as a support for a lamp shade.  Install and remove CFL lights by holding the plastic base These lights are not dimmable. Do not use with emergency exit fixtures or lights. Do not use with electronic times, photo cells, or with dimmers.
