1 cup rolled oats
2 cups boiling water
2 pkgs dry yeast
1/3 cup lukewarm water
1/2 cup honey
2 tbsp soft butter
2 1/2 tsp salt
6 cups flour
Place oats in large bowl, add 2 cups of boiling water and let stand 1/2 hour. Pour yeast into 1/3 cup lukewarm water, let stand while honey, salt, and butter are added to oat mix. Stir yeast and add to mixture. Stir in four cups of flour then knead in last two cups. Cover and let rise 2-3 hours. Cut down with knife,
divide in two, put. in two greased loaf pans. Cover and let rise again (1-2 hours). Bake at 325° for 50 minutes. Turn cut, butter crust and cool on wire rack.
