1 (48 oz) can kidney beans
1 onion, chopped
1 cup salsa
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Drain kidney beans; puree in food processor. Mix together pureed kidney beans, chopped onion, salsa, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder in a microwave safe bowl. Heat mixture in microwave for 5 minutes on high heat. Stir mixture and heat an additional 4 minutes on high or until warm. Serve with tortilla chips. This can be used as a substitute for refried beans.
