Ingredients in Brownie Drops
- 2 Bakers German sweet chocolate bars
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsifted flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract (not imitation)
- 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans (optional) can use your favorite nut
To make Brownie Drops
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Grease a cookie sheet.
- Melt chocolate and butter over hot water in a double boiler.
- Stir and cool mixture.
- Beat eggs until foamy.
- Add sugar, 2 tbsps at a time to foamy eggs.
- Beat until thickened (5 minutes with an electric mixer).
- Blend in chocolate mixture.
- Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; blend well.
- Stir in vanilla and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 7 - 9 minutes.
- Cool on wire rack.
Recipe makes about 3 dozen Brownie Drops.
