- 4 cups celery, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 5 oz can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- buttered soft bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 350 ° F. Cook celery in small amount of water with salt, till tender, but crisp. Drain. Add the remaining ingredients, except bread crumbs. Put ingredients in a 2 quart or 9 inch square baking dish and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 ° F for 30 minutes. Serves 6-8.
