Chicken in Champagne Ingredients

To make Chicken in Champagne

  1. Brown chicken in butter or canola oil. Reduce heat.
  2. Add white pepper, garlic powder and 1 cup champagne.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Add 1 more cup campagne and simmer, covered, for another 15 minutes.
  5. Add mushrooms, and 1 cup champagne, cover, simmer 15 minutes.
  6. Add 1/4 cup champagne, and simmer, covered, for another 15 minutes. Add more champagne if needed.
  7. Remove chicken to a warmed serving platter.
  8. Boil champagne in pan over high heat until reduced to about 1 cup (or add additional champagne until about 1 cup is in pan).
  9. Add the cornstarch/water mix, and stir over medium heat until thickened.
  10. Pour sauce over the chicken, and sprinkle with parsley.
