2 lb lean ground beef
1 cup sliced onion
2 15oz cans tomato sauce
1 tbsp granulated brown sugar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 to 1-1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp Worchestershire Sauce
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cook ground beef in large non-stick skillet until brown.
3. Prepare sauce by combining tomato sauce, brown sugar, mustard, chili powderr and Worchestershire sauce and mixing well.
4. In a oven safe casserole dish, alternately layer beef, and sliced onions. Distributed onions evenly across pan in each layer.
5. Cover with sauce, and bake for 1 hour.
6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese if desired.
