2 Weeks From Tomorrow

Janie, this year I work both T-Giving Day and the day after... my family and I celebrated the holiday w/ a ribeye steak cookout at Dad's last weekend. Although we had a pumpkin pie, we decided not to have turkey or ham since my Dad as well as my sister and her family are going to many various dinners where those things will be served and we didn't want to ruin their appetites for them... so we just opted for beef. It was purty tasty! On a quick hour lunch-break on Thanksgiving Day I will pre-order 2 turkey-dinners w/ all the trimmings and a whole pumpkin pie to deliver to Mom- 2 meals so she'll have plenty of leftovers to enjoy...

You always do SO much cooking for your family and extended family- especially at holiday time. They are so lucky to have you. I'm sure they treasure your tasty morsels, dear! :)

Thanks Hon. Your Momma and Daddy are very lucky to have you Kevin.

FN never returns a message. I reported Ann Burrell for placing something in the oven and saying "treat it just like a step child" and a few other things - no response.

They have never responded to me either. I have complained over her using so much salt and about the Neelys.

Well I have 2 dinners down now and two more to go. My brother is picking his up Tues. I have his dressing and bbq baked beans in the oven now. Im going to make his banana pudding cake after they come out. I have his turkey in its brine in the fridge.

We had our Sunday Supper/Thanksgiving with my husbands Dad today. He really enjoyed the food. I took turkey, candied sweet taters, cranberry sauce, gravy, mashed taters, cornbread dressing, greens, roasted turnips, yeast rolls, deviled eggs and pumpkin spice bundt cake.

sounds good! I thought you were going to take it easy this year!

I have taken it easier than last year. I plan to really take it easy for Christmas. That is the dinner where they all come with nothing but an appetite and go home with plates of leftovers.
The dinner we had with Jon's Daddy was one I did because I wanted and it was just the three of us. I took a lot of help from the grocery store on that one. My brother is getting his dinner tomorrow at noon. Then it is a few days off before dinner for two on Thur. Right now I have my bro's little 13 pound turkey in the oven and his sweet taters.

I hit all of my targets this past week. I put my husband and father in law into a turkey coma with Sunday supper. Today my brother picked up his dinner at 2:30 and he, his wife and two kids were in a turkey coma by 4pm this evening lol. His wife suffered minor finger injuries when she was bitten by my one year old niece while feeding her a piece of turkey lol. It was to funny and worth all the time lol.
My sis in law told me my brother fixed so much food to eat he had two plates so she had to carry one of them to his favorite chair.

I have my popovers in the oven for Jon and I. Everything else is done. I will be happy to see it all over to Mama. My father in law mentioned just getting pizzas for Chrismtas at his house. That would make me one happy girl.
