Crazy Dog

Janie, if you don't stop showing off those babies I'm gonna get very upset.

It don't look like we'll ever be grandparents. Elder son says "It's not on my agenda!" And the younger's wife cannot have kids. Darn! And I already had the drum set picked out, and the thousand piece Leggos, and....." Ah, well. :(

I don't like small dogs, myself. I'm always afraid I'm going to hurt them. Intellectually I know they're just as tough (sometimes tougher---my aunt used to raise Pekinese). But my gut just doesn't believe it.

Although I've had all sorts of dogs, through the years, I've only had bird dogs the past quarter century. Right now it's Gwynn, a Lewellen Setter with a nose that won't quit.

The only dogs I object to are the new "designer" breeds. It's not the dogs that bother me, it's the breeders. Talk about marketing hype: people have actually come up with a way of selling mutts for thousands of dollars.

That's a fact! And then you have so many who will not be responsible pet owners and continually have litter after litter of unwanted puppies, it's appauling! And these breeders are appauling as well, making more puppies in their greediness! A racket indeed!!!

And Eddie and I love hunting dogs, our next one will be a short haired breed, maybe a beagle!

Cathy, you can't have a beagle.

The joy is listening to them sing in harmony. That's why they run them in packs.

Five is a good number!

how cute.... a little vegetarian dog! I do have a little bunny and she is actually a pretty picky eater! She doesn't like basil either, but she will eat apples like crazy!

Miniature Schnauzers are wonderful janie because they're handsome, smart and don't shed. Mine (or, excuse me- my niece's & nephew's...) are named Garbo & Brando- after Greta and Marlin.

You should post a pic of your bunny. I would love to see it.
I recently lost my pet bunny Baron. He was three weeks away from being five years old when he died. I brought him home when he was 8 weeks old. He was a picky fellla too.

Kevin I love the names you gave your dogs.
I should have called mine Tigger instead of Pooh. It would have suited him better. I honestly believe that dog would play til he fell over. He will be ten Jan 5 and still trys to act like a puppy...arthritis in his back and all. I cant let him romp to much anymore cause he messes his back up when he does. When the kids come Pooh has to go in his carrier because he insists on getting a game from everyone.

I bet you would be one great grandpa!
I have two grown nieces and one grown nephew that I never see.
My brother and their Mom had a nasty split when the kids were young. They were mostly raised by the Mom and her new fella.

I have another older brother who has a couple of little girls. Have never gotten to see one of them at all and the last time I saw the older one she was three. She would be about 15 now. Its a long ugly story ...my oldest brother who is their Dad is a piece of work and always in trouble for something. It was gut wrenching when they took off with the little girl. I got to speak to her on the phone once or twice after they left. The last conversation I had with her she told me she made me a peanut butter sandwich and left it on the counter for me to come get it. Her Mom eventually got sick of my brother and dumped him. She went to live with her Mom and I have no idea where they are or how. My older brother is back around here living with my other older brother and sister somewhere. They live a couple of counties over from here.
Cole and I are the youngest two and as far as Im concerned she is my only sibling. Im nuts about her two kids. I just wish they lived closer. I dont get to see them much but when I do I lay on enough spoiling to last awhile lol.

Sad to say one of my Blue Heelers....Tink... is at the Vet's after being bit by a snake. She will be ok...just having to stay for observation. Poor baby was Bitten under her neck and she swelled really bad.

janie, I'm right there w/ ya hon af far as family dysfunction, so don't feel alone...

I have a mother who suffers from severe mental illness (tho she's been seeing a doctor and taking her meds properly for 15 months now- the longest time EVER in her medical history w/ this illness of 30+ years!)

And my brother completes his SECOND prsion sentence (this time 7 years) in just a few weeks.

I am super-close to my Dad, and my sister & her family. The rest is painful- but what I have w/ them is wonderful!

(And I cannot say it enuf... tho most of Mom's illness has been hell- these last 15 months have been INCREDIBLE.)

Mrsjimmyp I hope Tink makes a fast recovery!

Ha Kevin..our birthdays are close and we both have a brother who has done time. My BD is the 17th of Sept. We are kindred spirits lol.
Sounds like you have had your share of family drama to.

Well...Kevin and Janie...Drama runs in my family also....I just stay out of it much as possible.
Thanks for the puppy prayers...Tink is home now and doing good...hoping she doesn't meet another snake but living out here in the country hard to avoid them. I have had too many close encounters as well.Never been bitten ...I think the only good snake is a dead one...Thats my Biggee Fobia always has been.

And Kevin...my Mother too suffered from Mental Illness. So I know what that is like.
