How many here work at home

I am a SAHM who has just signed up to sell Avon. I start in a few weeks! Hopefully it's a fun way to make a little extra cash :)
 
BarbieDoll, have you tried applying at Wal-Mart? I know it's not a work at home job, but it's something to bring in money right now & I think they are still hiring for the holiday rush. Let me look up the link to a WAHJ forum I'm a member of, & I'll PM you the link. Maybe you can find something on there that will work for you.

BensMom, I tried the Avon thing. I didn't have much luck, but then again, I couldn't sell hot cocoa to an Eskimo. I'm a terrible sales person. But I wish you the best of luck.
 
I sometimes sell stuff on eBay. It's not a huge bit of income, but it's always nice to get money for clothes my kids have outgrown or something like that.

No I have not tried walmart but I have a baby who I could not leave at home with my husband because he would not be able to watch him for very long at a time he can't even hardly lift him right now. So I would have to pay at least 75 a week for a baby sitter for him so after paying gas and baby sitter I really don't think that I would bring home that much. This is the problem that I am having about a job like this.
But thanks so much for the suggestion I may have to do this anyway I really hope not I hope that he gets back to like he was before Laborday. the dr. says that he should regain his strength even though he has not done so yet.

I found my work from home job on craigslist.. under sales.. I do inside sales from home..It pays bi-weekly ..regular salary pay..not commission.. Maybe you might want to look there.. Homejobstop.com has great listings as well!
 
I work from home for a company called west answering phones. Nice most of the time, but would love to find an at home job that doesn't involve phones.
 
Judilynn, check out workplacelikehome.com/forum They have a list of legit work at home jobs, and there are tons of people there to help you if you find something & aren't sure about it. I had to ask everyone about something that I got in my email recently, so I know the people there care.

Yeah, don't order an new phone number (as I did) from the Ma-Bells, you'll get spammed by the telemarketers looking for new meat. It's absolutely looney. So never give up your old phone number that you've blocked on the Do Not Call List ... they're waiting for you ... by the thousands ........ :(

I work from home and a full time job,I sell triple scented gourmet candles, soy/veggy blend..I love this company, the products I am proud to sell, I have had so much fun, I pay $39.95 per month and I get the candle of the month and new invented scent, and on top of that I get to sell these candles, and make 50% commission on them. No quotas, no pressure..I love it

I work from home, I sell Triple scented gourmet candles, I love this company, they are so supportive and I make great money. I make 50% commission from the get go and the compensation plan is fantastic, anyone who wants to make good money and love candles, this is the place to be. These candles smell wonderful and sell themselves, which makes my job easy!!

That's awesome. I love candles. We have a huge collection from different places here.
 
I don't work from home but do have a small business that I run from home. I have been looking for a fulltime job to do from home but haven't found the right one. Take a look at this site. www.wahm.com they have message boards and job listing that can help.
 
That is a great place to find leads for jobs of all kinds from home (some I never even would have guessed existed).

They have a lot of different phone jobs there - I wish me or hubby were more into the phone because that would be something nice to do on the side.
 
I work at home for west also. Trying to find more work. Preferably something to do while the kids are up and about.
 
I got my jobs off of wahm.com as well. I work for Baby2bee.com, but I am not liking it to much anymore, I don't think it is for me. I just got hired for a online job that doesn't require phones, and I also do some freelance writing for associated content, that pays pretty well. Oh yeah and I sell on ebay which brings me about $200 a week.
 
if you don't mind, what is it that you sell on eBay? My MIL sells stuff she picks up at estate sales and makes a killin'! I guess I don't have an eye for that type of thing because I'd never be able to pick out what would be good sellers.
 
I sell mostly used clothing. I have an arrangement with a local man who give me a deal on really goo named brand stuff, but to make a good profit you ahve to be able to find the clothes for about .25 a piece and that is hard to do. Most gargae sales and that people want 1-3 dollars per item,a dn you won't make a profit that way. There are also tricks to getting peoplet o bid higher for your items, but that takes a lot of practice and trial and error.
 
I am a wahm. I work for West and Liveops. I also started ChaCha recently and I write articles for Associated Content. (the last 2 are very new. lol)
 
I work from home, I sell stuff on ebay, and I work for ChaCha. I love it; it's easy work and earns some nice extra money. It couldn't pay my bills or anything, but it covers the gas for our cars and a few extra things. The best thing is that I don't have to be one the phone. I can't do phone work; my kids are too loud!
