What I do with my leftovers is slice them really small or shred them, and then I make a rice bowl and put them as toppings. My family really likes rice toppings. If can't do anything about it anymore because of lack of creativity, I give it to my brother's dog. She really likes leftovers.
leftovers are usually sent with hubby to work. If he's not crazy about eating something the next day, I'll warm it up for myself (or the tot) for lunch. Very seldom do they last more than a couple of days.
Well like some others have said. There are very rarely leftovers in my house. but if there are we will either have them for lunch the next day or dinner the day after that. I don't believe in wasting and with money as tight as it is, we use everything we have.
We usually take our leftovers for lunch the next day. If we don't use the leftovers for lunch we will usually use them during the week. I try to not make alot cause at times it goes to waste. However, I do make extra chicken or roast so I can make a few meals out of it. When I cook chicken we will have soup, tacos or even salads with the left overs. If it is a roast I will make taquitos from the leftovers.
I always take left overs for lunch. I don't like to go out especially in the winter cold during the day. We have a nice kitchen at work so I just heat it up and eat
them up. My hubby really makes good dinners so not eating the left overs would be a real shame.
No body in my family minds leftovers. We all feel like last night's leftovers are a better lunch idea than a boring sandwich. Thank goodness too, because I hate to waste food as well.
We work leftovers into EVERYTHING. My fav it the morning after taco night we have "taco omelettes" w/ the taco meat & cheese inside, covered in taco sauce. MMMMMMmm
Taco omelettes do sound good. Medako you are right you might be able to make some. I might have to try to make those this weekend. I also find putting leftover roast in eggs is a good way to get rid of roast leftovers.
I add a little twist with leftovers to make it taste good rather than just heating it. For example, with rice, I fry it with chopped hotdogs, boiled eggs and tomatoes.
