Lightening-rod for some, ray of light for others...

I've been a fan of Oprah since her local live 9:00AM show here in Illinois went into syndication in the mid-80's.

I've tried watching as many episodes as possible in this- her final season, but have missed many. Her Finale Show is tomorrow- Wednesday.

This will play a significant part in my memory bank... much like Bette Midler singing "One For the Road" in the last moments of "The Johnny Carson Show" in May of '92.

After a two-part star-studded gala yesterday and today, tomorrow's show is supposed to be a bare-bones, pared-down version. Just Oprah, a chair, a bare stage- and her audience. And I'm sure- a box of kleenex.

Oprah Winfrey is a talk show host. I told Kev Im not into the talk shows but millions love her.

Oh I know who she is. Every time I try to catch the news I have to wait for OPRAH to end. I was just trying to lower her importance some. She actually flew into our little town once to surprise a quest of her show who had invited her.

I quess I don't have anything against her it's just this God Status some have bestoyed on her I don't understand. Sort of like when the professional baseball players went on strike. $63 million a year and you claim they're not paying you what you're worth. Haven't paid the admissison price since.
