List the 1 thing you are MOST Thankful for:

:) Hi everyone, Thanks for all the info on butter & margarine. I guess everything in moderation. I do use butter in cookies recipes mostly. Thanksgiving was nice, stayed Home this year. I'm all decorated for Christmas! Cookie :)

Wow you go Cookie!!! I haven't strung the 1st light yet, but I do have 2 gifts purchased:D

I still think you are talking about traditional margerine and not the non-hydrogenated soy butter with no transfat.

Cathy,That's Good you bought 2 gifts already!! I have not bought a thing yet. Last year I did my shopping a few days before Christmas. I make my list and have some idea what I'm going to give. Some how I always do last minute shopping. Cookie :)

The margarine I bought had lower trans fat than the butter but the same amount in calories. Cookie :)

Tonight we are looking for a family Christmas present, another dog!!! We have a little Mini-Pinscher named Zeke, he is a wonderful family pet. We see one that we are interested in on-line, now I am all excited & can't wait!!!:D The Humane Society is closed now, and I wish it were open so I could run down there and adopt it! A new dog will be a gift for all of us including Zeke:D

Cathy,

I have 3 dogs and having 2 is great~ Zeke will love having a companion all his own, one that barks his language hahahaha Zeke may be standoffish at first but, he'll grown to truly love his new companion~

I had a dog for 8 yrs (he passed away last 12/22) and I always felt he needed a friend, so when we bought our house in 2002 1st thing we did was get Emmitt a friend, which is my Libby~ Emmitt loved her so much and he was so happy to have someone who barked his language and to play and dote on. I think you are giving Zeke the best Christmas present ever ~ love and friendship

Isn't that just the cutest pictures :) Made me go AAAAHHHHHHH

(Golly-Moses these adorable photos are making me feel puppy-starved! I have a pair of cats that I really care for, but I LONG for a dog- my condo is full enuf right now tho... can't wait to have a larger place maybe, one day, so I can add to my l'il family of critters!)

I miss Alaska but I am most thankful that I made the tough decision last year to return home to Illinois to be near family and my aging parents. The joy I'm getting by working half the hours, and seeing my family often is unbeatable! It's wonderful to feel that one is exactly where they are meant to be in life at a given point! I thank my Creator for this opportunity...

You said it right, Kev, sacrificing for anyone, especially family, is always the right choice, and you are quite blessed because it's what you're thankful for.

I am thankful too for my family and I thank God for giving me the voice and strength to stand up for those who can not stand for themselves.

Got our puppy today, he is too cute, 7 weeks old, and he is a mix between, get this.....Boxer & Chihuahua!!! The cutest puppy I have ever seen....ever!!! I will post photos when I get a chance :) We are all in LOVE with "DUKE"!!!

How does Zeke like Duke? Awww I wish I can see him, I bet he is so cute :) Now Zeke has a special friend all his own. I really can't wait for the pictures, post some of Zeke too :)

Thanks ya' all! Oh Zeke is handling it all with such charm, here he is 5 yrs. old and there is a little 7 week old baby and he is sort of dumbstruck at the moment and unsure what it's all about but he is behaving really well. The puppy is a charmer, and is totally in love with being held by our 9 yr old little girl!!! He cries if we are not holding him constantly. He eats well, has had a good bath, and is taking nice naps. I am afraid he may cry all night being away from his Mom for the 1st time! Sleeping may be out of the question:D

Zeke will "mother" him and your 9yr old daughter will too. Oh, its so EXCITING :) having a new puppy. Snoopy (the picture posted) is only 6 months old but he got so big so fast, I love it when they are itty bitty, but Snoopy is ALL PUPPY and a goof.

Have fun trying to sleep ~ I feel for you
