PB&J question

i've never done that but ti does sound tasty - sort of like that jelly/pb blend they sell in jars at the store.

you know, my husband is from the South and I grew up in the Northeast, and when I told him I made the kids a peanut-butter-and-banana sandwich, he was like "so?" and it turned out that that was the first time I'd made a PB&B sandwich in my whole life and yet he grew up having them all the time. Funny little regional difference there, I thought.

Nope, I've never heard of this, but it sounds good. I love some PB and J with strawberry jelly!

My school used to do that. They often served the wierd combo of chili and peanut butter and jelly. :p

I still make PB&J like that. And the OP is right. It *does* taste sweeter. :) It's also waaay less messy.

I highly recommend mixing PB with the J before spreading.

The peanut butter and jelly swirl I was talking about was made by Smuckers and was called Goobers. Does anyone remember this product? Do they still make the product?

Yes, they still make this. I buy it all the time. I love it. It makes things so much easier. LOL

Apparently I'm one of the few that has never tried mixing them together before putting it on a sandwich. Sounds like a super time saver (and I'm all for that). Mix up a jar and keep in the fridge for those "I'm kinda hungry" moments and when it comes time to make sack lunches.
