Ramen Noodles

I like Ramen too. My husband likes to put sesame oil in his... I don't like it that way.

I add lots of crackers to mine. That's as fancy as I get with it. :p

Have you ever tried the asian ramen noodles or middle eastern. Alot of the ethnic stores will have their own version of Ramen noodles and they are quite tasty!

My 10 yr old loves ramen for lunch... I think she'd eat those everyday if I'd let her. I'd rather she ate something a little more filling & healthy though. Me, I had to eat them so much as a kid, that's all we usually had for lunch, that I can't stand to eat them anymore. I just about died during Christmas break in college, that's all I could afford so I only ate once a day, sometimes I even skipped days. Bad, I know, but I seriously couldn't stand the thought of eating them for 20+ days on end.

I boil, then drain the noodles, too. I find it cuts back on some of the fat.

The seasoning packet is okay if you don't have another option, but I mostly just like to make a quick brown sauce from some thickened broth and spices.

Add some fresh veggies and meat (or tofu) and you've got a well balanced meal! Delicious and CHEAP. ;)

That sounds good marymoomoo. I'll have to try my noodles like that some time. I don't know when though. My hubby doesn't really like ramen noodles.

I don't like them as a soup. I usually just drain off the water, add alittle bit of the seasoning and add lots of veggies. I usually will add green onions, a little garlic, cut up carrots, sometimes some peas and corn. I haven't tried adding meat to the noodles but I am sure that it is just as good.

I Cut Cheese And Turkey Ham In My Noodles Kiddios Love It!

I will have to try it with meat and cheese. I am sure that the cheese will melt in which my kids love macaroni with melted cheese on it.

I just can't stomach the thought of ramen noodles anymore. I ate way too many of them during my broke college days. You won't find a package in my whole house. :p

You know that is probably why I dress mine up and change the way I eat it you know.

Crackers.... umm not to sure about that one. I will have to try it though I am not a huge cracker fan.

If I would have my way. I would like to eat ramen noodles sparingly. It's not very healthy you know. I would actually suggest that you try to mix in healthy stuff in it, the egg is nice draining the water washes away the excess chemicals in it. Try putting vegetables or meat in that way you can still have a full meal i suppose.
