What Food Network shows do you enjoy?

I love Paula --- everytime she tastes her food and goes MMMM it makes me so hungry !

Paula's Home Cooking
Emeril
Good Eats
30 Minute Meals
Oliver's Twist (re-runs)
How to Boil Water
Ham on the Street

Oooh! I forgot:
Everyday Italian
Malto Mario (very educational)
Iron Chef America

I also like to watch Semi-homemade with Sandra Lee for ideas, but I wouldn't really put it on my favorites list. It's a bit weird how she has a color theme for everything and whatever the color it is for that day her kitchen is decorated in that color, and she wears that color and sometimes makes food that color. It's neat in a way but a bit....odd.

I totally agree! I did not notice that when I first started watching Sandra's show. Then when it occurred to me the set is all co-ordinated, somehow I watch less of her show now.

I like Alton Brown for his "scientific approach" and Barefoot Contessa for her personality.

I had to laugh when I happened to catch an episode of Sandra Lee the other day (I don't really like it, but I was out of town for work and was bored) and she did a Halloween thing and changed costumes about 5 times throughout the show. It was ridiculous! I was like, is this the Food Network or some weird Halloweenish network?

I am addicted to the Iron Chef. I also enjoy watching Emeril. I like those "special" shows they do on candy, BBQ - things of that nature. :)

The only thing I find myself watching now is Iron Chef America.

I love to watch Rachel Ray and Sandra Lee. As well I like to watch all of the Iron chef competitions to see what crazy food ideas they will come up with. Paula Dean has a new one. I believe it is called Party with Paula. That is a good one. Oh I can't forget Bobby Flay.

I like Emeril & Iron Chefs. Both Iron Chefs, domestic & foreign. 30 min. meals is good too.

I prefer Emeril in 'Essense of Emeril' where he explains why certain things are cooked / prepared in a certain way, than in 'Emeril Live' where he makes funny noises and then goes Bam! Bam! Bam! That really gets to me like the Head-On advertisement.

Welcome to my food blog

I'm particularly enjoying all the special holiday shows they have now. First it was Halloween and now there are a ton of Thanksgiving specials. Christmas stuff is just around the corner!

Did the Food Network kill the PBS cooking shows? I haven't watched cooking shows in a bit, but when I look at the local Maryland Public Television shows that are on on Saturday and Sunday, there aren't too many cooking shows. Did they sell off their old shows to the Food Network, and then shoot themselves in the foot?

My favorite is Alton Brown because he deals with the science of cooking as well as recipes that children can relate to. My older kids couldn't wait to come to mom's house because they didn't have food network at there dad's placed.
