2 lbs round steak, 3/4 inch thick
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Accent Flavor Enhancer
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp unbleached flour
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can diced tomatoes
1 clove garlic, minced
1. Cut meat into bite sized pieces and brown in skillet with 2 tbsp butter.
2. Season both sides of meat with salt, pepper, and Accent.
3. When well browned, remove from heat.
4. Make creole gravy by melting 1 tbsp butter in a saucepan. Blend in flour, stirring constantly. Add onions, and continue stirring until golden brown.
5. Blend in tomatoes, and garlic into the gravy mixture.
6. Spoon sauce over meat.
7. Cover tightly, and simmer meat/sauce mix over low heat until meat is tender, about one hour. Add water if needed, and stir occasionally.
8. Serve over a bed of freshly steamed rice.
