Deviled Crab Cakes
- 16 ounces of crab meat
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1 egg
- cracker meal
To make Deviled Crab Cakes
- In a saucepan, melt the butter then stir in flour and mix.
- Slowly add milk, and heat over low heat until warm.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce, poultry seasoning, and white pepper to the milk sauce.
- Remove any left over shell pieces from the crab meat. Lightly mix the egg into the crab meat.
- Mix the crab meat into the milk sauce. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour to let the mixture set. Then form into cakes.
- Dip each side of crab cake in cracker meal, then place on a broiler pan and broil until top of crab cake lightly brown, then flip over the crab cake and broil other side until lightly brown.
Makes 6 Deviled Crab Cakes.
