my favorite snack food - thank you!
I like to pop my own corn in a kettle on top of the stove. After it's popped, a couple tablespoons of melted butter and salt to taste. If anyone else wants some then they had better make there own, lol. I have never been a fan of microwave popcorn and the last time I had movie theater popcorn it almost killed me. The best thing about going to the movies was the fresh popped corn. Now the mega theaters get it shipped in in giant plastic trash bags. The roughage will tear your insides a part.
We have a smaller Phoenix Theater in the next county over and so far they still fresh pop theirs right in sight. Atleast they did a few years ago which was the last time I was at the movies.
the theaters here ship it in - large trash bags (most likley not even food grade plastic bags either - just plain old dark trash bags - NOT healthy - the plastic is poison and leaches into the food) and they pour it into the popcorn machines with the lights on to "heat" it - and they will pour melted butter on for an additional price - they hang popcorn scented gizmos around the lights to make it smell like they popped it -
if you don't see it popping - they ain't popping it
