still smokes and she is still going strong. You just never know, I suppose. I knew another gal who developed cancer in a kidney due to smoking and died a few years ago. Most folks who smoke do not realize that it affects all of the vital organs, not just the lungs.

Just had to say something due to what I have experienced with heart disease. I love you folks here and have your best interest at heart.

Yeah- life's lottery is just amazing how it works sometimes, huh?

There are those who smoke, drink, over-eat, and live fast lives who live 'til they're a hundred! Then some poor near-perfect soul can be struck-down and taken away when barely into adulthood... Or a child... Sometimes it all makes a guy really wonder.

The key is to take as many steps as we all can to do more of what we know to be right- whatever that may be for each of us, individually. And the truth is- we all battle an addiction of some sort- it might not be booze or drugs- but it might be food, exercise, spending, gambling or whatever- and all of these come w/ their potential health risks and stress factors.

For a chuckle: I'm reminded of Redd Foxx once said- "All these joggers and health-nuts are gonna feel ridiculous one day as they lay in bed dying of absolutely nuthin'!"
