Fresh fish has no bad fishy smell. I would not buy it. When you email them, be sure and don't forget say. That the employees also need an attitude adjustment. I also would notify the local health department. CF:)

Yeah Janie- it ought to smell fresh and briny like salt water... not fishy at all. I agree w/ w/ what others have said that it sounds like poor cleaning practices. All it takes is not getting one sink or drain cleaned quite thoroughly or one garbage barrel not properly bleached and scoured-out. Or one scrap of shrimp or snapper that flew off the counter and went flying under a cabinet or some such...

One of the most pleasant smells I know of is a nice seafood store or a dock area on a body of salt water in a sea-faring town... it's clean, fresh, pure and just thrilling to my nostrils! :)

Maybe they'll send you a case of shrimp to apologize, Janie! If they do- I'll bring the lemon weges and maybe mama can bring the cocktail sc! :)
