the panic buyers act like they are going to die and it is the end of the world - it' a snatch and grab thing - they don't eat it - they don't cook with it - but they hoard it and then when it's out of date they donate to the food bank!
the rich old folk kill me most - they have money and don't want to part with it - so they buy cat food because it's cheaper than tuna - and they holler out loud that they are old and cannot afford to feed theselves? what do they do the other 360+ days a year? oh yeah - I forget - they can eat at the country clubs they belong to (yes I said clubs - you cannot belong to just one)
they live in big homes and have maids and gardeners, they drive expensive cars, and as soon as a storm is coming - they all of a sudden want sympathy - what do they expect - the not-so-fortunate to buy for their food? now I am talking about people that do not keep food in their homes because they travel a lot and dine at fancy restaurants - one family in particular - they have the biggest meals for the holiday - all cooked by their private cook - they want so much food cooked for so few of them - all show - then when they are done - the cook has to throw it all out - it's not allowed in the house
let them stock up on cat food - who cares
I remember working with a rich kid - never had to do a thing in his life, maids, butlers, tutors, you name it - his father wanted him to go to work to see what it was like - he lasted one month - only because his father paid him big bucks to stick it out
didn't fit in with anyone there - if we ordered subs for lunch - he'd turn green - never had one in his life - never went to a fast food restaurant - it was "beneath" him
for holidays they would have huge spreads of foods and desserts - eat just a bit - the rest was put in the trash - no leftovers - they would never hear of that - not even a pie or cake or cookie - if it was made that day - they ate it - then it went out
they would only dine at the finest restaurants and country clubs -
hellllo ---- get a life!
