That first frost of the season thing for sweetness also is a rule for the blueberries, low-bush cranberries and salmonberries in Alaska and other northern parts like Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Maine.

I got some wonderful clementines a few days ago. It was a five pound box. They were sweet and juicy.
