Well I got some of my brothers meal done today. He is picking it up at noon tomorrow. I still have to make several things but I got the bulk of it done today. I brined his turkey then used a compound butter between the skin and breast made of butter of course and roasted garlic, thyme, sage and herbs de provence. I stuffed the bird with garlic, onions and parsley. I rubbed the outside with olive oil, herbs de provence, salt and pepper. I baked it for 2 1/2 hours wrapped in foil then the last hour I baked it uncovered to get some color.

His little ham was only like 9 pounds so I cut it off the bone when it was done so I could fit it into a disposable pan.
Tomorrow I plan to make homemade yeast rolls, mashed potatoes, roasted turnips and deviled eggs for him.

Today I got the ham, turkey, dressing, gravy & cake finished.

For us on Thursday I am making duck with orange glaze, yeast rolls, mac and cheese, roasted new potatoes, oyster dressing and salad. For dessert I am making all chocolate boston cream pie. As far as I know my father in law is going to his other sons for dinner. Jon and I will probably go down and have coffee with him whe he gets back late Thursday evening.
