6 cups rolled oats
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup walnuts or cashews
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup raisins
Combine first 5 ingredients. Combine second 5 ingredients. Put both batches together, mixing well. Spread on greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° F for 30 minutes or until well browned, stirring frequently. Cool thoroughly. Add raisins. Store in airtight container. Makes 11 cups. Keeps well. Vary ingredients to taste: add sesame seeds, substitute dates for raisins, omit coconut, etc.
